Helloooo!!
Anyone a Foodie Penpal? If not, please consider joining the fun!
-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
-Foodie Penplas is open to US & Canadian residents. Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa. So, I’m going to keep two separate lists and match US w/ US and Canada w/ Canada! If you’re interested in participating for April, please CLICK HERE to fill out the participation form and read the terms and conditions.
You must submit your information by April 4th as pairings will be emailed on April 5th!
This month was my first time participating in Foodie Penpals and I LOVED it! For sure doing it again in the months to come. Here’s a little review of the wonderful package I got from Jen! And be sure to check out Ashley’s review of the package that I sent her!

SO many great goodies!
Chocolate PB Pie
Everything was SO great but this probably lasted the least amount of time! A Chocolate PB Pie from X’s to O’x vegan bakery…YUM. This was so freaking good I don’t even know what words to use to describe it. The most delicious mix of chocolate and peanut butter mushed between 2 yummy cookies.. to die for!
Maple Rosemary Granola
This was so good!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola
I’m a complete sucker for chocolate, peanut butter, and granola so this definitely hit the spot for me!
Carob Joy with Banana Chunks of Energy
So good! and a great pre run snack for an extra boost of energy
Homemade Blueberry Muffin
This was so yummy! Inspired me to make a blueberry muffin batch of my own
Halfmoon Cookie
Another delicious treat from X’s to O’s bakery! So yummy! And a great little taste of NY that I’ve never experienced befroe. A sugary cookie with half vanilla, half chocolate frosting. SO good! My favorite part was probably the frosting overlap in the middle!
Coconut Water and 2 Dagoba chocolates
For someone who’s not the biggest fan of coconut water, I actually didn’t mind this! I’ve only really tried the flavored ones so maybe that was why I wasn’t a fan. LOVED these chocoaltes too! The lavender blueberry is such a different and interesting flavor, I really enjoyed it!
Thanks Jen for the great penpal package!
and a special special thanks to Lindsay for making Foodie Penpals happen!
XOXO,
Caroline
